2nd Day of Christmas!

The other day I posted that my favorite Christmas movie was The Muppets Christmas Carol.  The reason I say it's one of my favorites is because it's a movie that I haven't seen 897,462 times.  I don't own it and it's rarely on T.V.  Well, I have a treat for you...I found one of the funniest parts of the movie.  Enjoy!  Oh and make sure you pay VERY close attention to Beaker at the end...it's a little shocking so brace yourself ;)  Steph Numero Dos this is for you!

I pretty much love all Christmas movies.  Last week McKenna was sick and all she did for 5 days was watch Christmas movies.  Mostly, How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey, now that is hilarious and I love it dearly but watching it 8 times in a week is over kill.  I adore Elf but again I have the whole thing memorized and could resite it for you word for word if you would like...No?  Okay, but don't say I didn't  offer.  I seriously love them all, one more is Christmas with the Kranks.  That movie is so funny...maybe I just think it's funny because Mrs. Krank and I are quite similar :)

I always love going to church but I REALLY love going to church in December.  I think it's way too easy to forget what Christmas is all about but being in church singing Christmas songs today was amazing.  I got chills every time we sang a Christmas song.  I play Christmas music all month long but there's something about sitting in church and reading the words of the songs as you sing them.

Last Sunday, we were sitting in church and McKenna was doodling and she wrote X-mas.  I leaned over and told her that she shouldn't take the Christ out of Christmas.  She kind of gave me a weird look and continued on with her doodles.  A few minutes later she tapped my arm and showed me her paper...

Merry CHRISTmas

was written on her paper.  What a little punk, I guess she showed me :)

So now that we all know what the true meaning of Christmas is I want to let everyone know that I will be doing the 12 Days of Christmas...On the 1st day of Christmas Lil' Mama gave to meeee!  Oh wait, you will have to wait a couple of days but make sure you are checking back often because I have some pretty awesome giveaways!

What are some of your favorite Christmas traditions?

We always go up to Logan on Christmas Eve to play Bingo with Jake's family.  We win really awesome (or not) prizes!  We always spend Christmas day with my family and eat a grand feast :)  I also make sugar cookies with my kids on Christmas Eve Eve and they are the most delicious cookies EVER!  We have a few other traditions but I will save those for another day.

I have so many favorites but one that I haven't seen for far too long is The Muppet's Christmas Carol.  Everyone thinks I'm crazy but I really do love that movie :)
