It is so hard to know from day to day what our bodies are going to give us for our run that day. I think all of the excitement and anticipation of race day gets you going and most people start out faster then they planned. I feel like its my fault we started out too fast and I'm so sorry for that:( I think you did amazing and I'm so proud of you for what you accomplished. You improved your time by 20 min and qualified for Boston. I do understand the disappointment of falling a little short on a goal that you set for yourself. You are so strong and so talented in what you do and I love that we are such good friends and that we can run and train together. I would love to train for Top of Utah with you and I would totally run with the 3:30 pace group with you (if you want). I can totally relate to needing someone to talk to and distract you during the race and help you through the hard times when you just want to quit. I have felt so incredibly guilty for leaving you behind, I thought about you the whole race and hoped and prayed that you were ok. I'm excited for Ragnar and for just having fun and running, just not too excited about those hills :)Hollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14319377183138302678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6309126614085623346.post-3869652424183635332011-06-15T17:56:30.319-07:002011-06-15T17:56:30.319-07:00Steph!!! This is exactly what happened to me at Ogden.

You have to be so proud of yourself for setting a 20 minute PR and qualifying for Boston by a long shot. You are an amazing runner and I am so incredibly proud of you for pushing through those last miles all by yourself. You could have easily quit, but you didn't because you are tough mentally and physically. You also learned SO much that will only make you stronger.

I so wish you got into St. George so we could run the entire race together. I would definitely love to train with you for TOU and think you could easily run a 3:25 in that race. I know you will have a better experience and take everything you have learned and apply it to that race.Rachelle Wardlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05924064419764851273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6309126614085623346.post-43579534170520743302011-06-15T17:39:52.951-07:002011-06-15T17:39:52.951-07:00Ok... first of all... you shaved 20 minutes off yo...Ok... first of all... you shaved 20 minutes off you previous PR. you can't be upset by that. 2nd... you qualified for Boston!!!! If I could even run a half marathon and finish last, I would be happy about that, and you qualified for Boston! You're my hero!Stephanie Eliasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04553224611935767021noreply@blogger.com
